Overview :
As Accounting and Tax Manager you will be part of the Finance team, ensuring accuracy, optimization and compliance for all Finance activities of the Greek subsidiary.
In this role, your main mission will be:
Keeping the books according to IFRS and Greek Legislation
Controlling and executing the month end accounting & tax processes (reconciliation, VAT, payroll, etc)
Preparing the statutory financial statements according in accordance with IFRS.
Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
Ensuring financial systems efficiency and enhancements in connection with Group IT
Communicating with all internal stakeholders to ensure accurate translation in financial statements for current operating activities as well as more technical (acquisition, shares operations, hedges, ..)
Communicating with the authorities, internal and external auditors and sign the statutory books of the company
Planning, organizing and coordinating monthly closings as well as the year-end close process with external auditors and local compliance
Ensuring successful completion of the company’s tax filings in connection with Group Tax
Preparing monthly financial statements and year-end financial statements and notes
Supporting the Finance Manager on Hiring, training and retaining competent accounting staff
Reducing outside consulting by efficiently internal team management and training
Ensuring and monitoring the GBS activities in order to be compliance with local authorities
Qualifications :
Degree in Business Administration or Accounting
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in relevant roles
Experience in manufacturing and logistics flows accounting
Experience in intragroup transactions management
Greek Accounting tax expertise
Strong analytical and detail orientation with a collaborative mindset towards ensuring compliance
Strong relationship building skills and capability to address efficiently operational challenges
Good level of English
Extensive knowledge of process improvement
Experience with international projects and JDE will be considered a plus
